With the aim of activating the role of entrepreneurship in the field of Hajj

The Saudi National Bank (SNB) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in the presence of H.E Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and the Chairman of SNB, Mr. Ammar Alkhudairy, to enable pioneering projects to employ technology and raise the efficiency of workers serving pilgrims to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah Services, Dr. Amr Almaddah, and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Ms. Basma Aljawhari, at the headquarters of the Bank in Riyadh. That is in continuation of cooperation, which contributes to creating an integrated environment to serve pilgrims and Umrah performers in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 program's objectives.

Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah Services, Dr. Amr Almaddah, explained that the agreement aims to create business accelerators that include pioneering facilities and projects in the Hajj and Umrah system that contribute to completing the appropriate infrastructure to provide high-quality religious hospitality. This is in pursuit of the system's goals and the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and as an extension of the efforts made through the Center for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah Services pointed out the importance of enhancing the participation of small and medium sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in the Hajj and Umrah services sector, providing them with the appropriate elements to facilitate the arrival of the Two Holy Mosques's guests, provide high-quality services and enrich the religious and cultural experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers. This is achieved by promoting alignment with relevant governmental and private agencies, and by empowering the entities affiliated with the Ministry.

SNB offers pioneering initiatives to support and implement multiple programs of social responsibility, by launching a number of accelerators programs specialized in financial technology and social entrepreneurship.

The launch of the Hajj and Umrah Accelerators aims to activate the role of entrepreneurs and owners of small projects in serving pilgrims. This stems from the Bank's strategy, which focuses on the Bank being an active contributor to the development of the local community. Empowering small and medium enterprises is also a top priority for community development, which the Bank contributes to supporting through several programs and initiatives, including the Business Accelerators Program.
